🧹This is how I “spring clean”

Well, hi there, Reader!

Has spring started springing where you are?
My poor brother had snow last weekend near Calgary, Alberta… so… mixed reviews across Canada.

But, no matter you live in the world or your weather, spring will be here soon (or in 6 months if you're in Australia)!

We had a glorious stretch of sunshine here on Vancouver Island starting Easter Saturday… and now we are back to our regularly scheduled rainy programming as of this evening.

Classic, but it's ok. Now I don't have to baby my carrot seeds 🥕

Spring Cleaning

We never really “did” spring cleaning when I was a kid.
Or… maybe we did, and my mom just didn’t announce it like a seasonal event.

Come to think of it… I might be doing the exact same thing now.

Do you involve your family in spring cleaning?
Or do you just quietly reset things on your own… and suddenly the house feels better?

Or… are you not a spring cleaner at all?

No wrong answers here.

Here’s my very official Spring Cleaning MO:

1. Open everything up
Windows, doors… all of it.
(Actually, FIRSTlock the cats in a bedroom. Then open everything.)

Even 5–10 minutes of fresh air feels like a full system reset. Cold air, warm air… doesn’t matter. It just changes the house...I am obsessed!

2. Attack the cobwebs like they owe you money!
I’ve got a slightly questionable contraption… a modified Swiffer masking-taped to another Swiffer… but it works.
Very satisfying. Highly recommend!

3. Vacuum the aftermath
Because now there is dust floating everywhere...it's ok, we are making progress!

4. Clean the floors
Hands and knees optional...and painful, but oddly satisfying!

5. Switch the sheets
Out with the flannel, in with the fresh.
This might actually be my favourite part. It just feels like a reset button...the RIGHT kind of cool coziness.

I may get motivated and end up scrubbing some corner of the basement, but this is a good start!

What about you… do you have a spring cleaning ritual you love?

I did a wee home refresh after Easter, you can watch that here

Have a great weekend,

Toodle-oo!

Stay tidy & mighty
